Annual Campaign

The NSUW Campaign runs through April 2012 and focuses on raising money to support North Shore programs that address the core building blocks for a healthy community: Youth & Child Development, Financial Stability and Health.  Make a donation.

Grant Review in Process

Over the past two months, NSUW has trained over 60 local Allocations Committee volunteers to work with us in our review of annual NSUW grant applications.  These local volunteers are busy with site visits and application reviews to assess each of the programs requesting funding from this year's Campaign.

Click here for a list of 2011 grants, vetted by last year's Committee.

New Women in Action Initiative

Our new Women in Action initiative has already raised over $25,000 to support local programs focused on childhood obesity and expanding access to nutritious food and activity for underserved children.  Our next event is February 16th.

Impact Spotlight:

"Through support and encouragement by the North Shore United Way, agencies are better able to work together to serve clients. Recently, two agencies funded by NSUW, North Shore Community Development Coalition (NSCDC) and Beverly Bootstraps Community Services (BBCS), were able to quickly stabilize Georgia and her two children. Georgia was homeless and unemployed when she came to BBCS, however through support and significant personal dedication and effort, Georgia quickly transitioned from homeless to permanently housed in an affordable apartment owned by the NSCDC."
