Endowment
The North Shore United Way Endowment Fund is a way for you to leave a lasting legacy to the community and help ensure the financial stability of the NSUW, which has served our community for more than six decades. Your gift helps build a strong bridge to the future and guarantees that support will be there for our agencies and programs, regardless of the ebbs and flows of the economy.
Specifically, your gift helps to:
- provide discretionary grants to new and innovative programming for which funding does not yet exist
- offset operating expenses so that more annual campaign dollars can be directed to agencies and programs
Depending on how you choose to give, there can be substantial tax benefits for you or your estate. There are 3 ways to make an endowment gift:
- Make a direct contribution to the Endowment Fund
- Include the Endowment Fund as a beneficiary in your will or trust
- Consider planned giving opportunities that can provide you with an ongoing income stream as well as tax benefits for you and your heirs
